WANT TO START A NEW CHAPTER IN YOUR CITY?

Starting a local TCBD chapter is a rewarding task that allows us to amplify and address the political agenda of blacks in the State of Texas. It is not a task to be taken lightly. The formation and growth of a chapter takes time, effort, and energy from every charter member. Although only one individual is needed to start a local chapter, the chapter must quickly grow it’s member base so that it can sustain and grow the chapter. If these criteria are not met, it is likely that the new chapter will not be a successful one. The long-term viability of an TCBD chapter is essential to the overall success, professionalism and growth of the organization. The objective of a local TCBD Chapter is to carry out the initiatives of the TCBD mission within a defined geographic area. Having too many chapters within a specified geographic area may impact the ability of the respective chapters to grow and prosper.

The individual(s) desiring to start a local chapter must apply for chapter status via the “New Chapter Membership Application” (NCA) which can be found at www.texascoalitionofblackdemocrats.com under “Forms.”

The NCA should mail the application and required dues to the TCBD, P.O. Box 2814, Odessa, TX 79760

The chapter dues are required at the time of application ($15 for each Adult member).
